Will a H.S. fall season conflict with fall travel ball schedules?

Hadn't really thought about the fall Travel scd. probably would to a certain degree. The really major one that comes to mind would be Plantation in Fla. but I'm sure there is others. Most 18U are basicly finished playing after the Nationals or World Series.I'm sure it would hurt the younger groups,16 and 14.The middle school's play in the fall now and I don't know if it conflicts any . I do believe if there were enough major ASA tournaments available like out west and down in Ga,Fla area some kids would elect to skip HS ball.just a thought

    FALL HS BALL!!!!!!!

Would love to see fall ball for highschool, girls coming off of summer play, in shape and ready to go!!!! a lot less damage to kids and equipment due to cold weather, no games in sub 40 degree weather, sounds too good to be true, but put it on my wish list :woot:

    Fall Ball

Ga does it and love it as they can start playing in early April on the Showcase and ASA circuit. Makes them real sharpe by June when it heats up. Look at three top teams left at Dynamite? what states did they represent?

Fall softball might be a great thing. My concern would be for the 1A and 2A schools in particular where the supply of female athletes is more limited and you have a number of players who also play volleyball. I know the vb coaches would fight for their players. I know of one 4A school which made it into the state softball playoffs losing in the second round, which had 4 softball starters who were also starters on the volleyball team which also went to the second round of the playoffs.

If you move softball to the fall you move volleyball to the spring. Gyms would be alot cooler in a spring vollyball season. And yes you have girls soccer in the spring but coaches could compromise or players would just have to choose one or the other.

Why are we always trying to move things. Softball in North Carolina just had an awesome year with record breaking accomplishments in our state high school championships at all levels. What about those kids who came out of those championships to do well in this weekends tournaments? After a winter inside the kids of North Carolina came out and finished in pretty good weather with tremendous crowds at all playoff games. The kids don't have to make a choice for world tournaments at the beginning of their seasons because they happen at a time when 2 season's are not occurring ( in softball). The main championships for both don't happen at the same time.Alot of you ladies and gentleman spend alot of time bashing and wanting to change the High School game. Your game is unique in itself as is the high school game. With your different associations you have many chances at state titles, national, and world titles. High School is accountable every night just to make the playoffs to try to get to the end. I know alot of High School coaches who have their batteries charged to walk out that first day knowing that the kids are ready to get started not come off a season. I personally am not worried about volleyball but the big Football Machine because at our neighborhood it is the boss. Also why do we have to be like everyone else. I appauld summer guys and ladies especially the ones who work closely with our school in not worrying about everything except making kids better players and above all better people.
