CONGRATULATIONS TO 14U NC CHALLENGERS RENZI

    Congratulations to the NC Challengers Renzi, who won the 14U age group of the 11th Annual First Responders Cup in Arlington, VA over the weekend of September 8-9. The Challengers defeated several strong Virginia-based teams to take the tournament championship.

    More important than softball, the players on the team were given a chance to learn about the tragic events of 9/11/2001 - a day when these players were only 2 or 3 years old. All net proceeds raised from the tournament are donated to Pentagon Disaster Relief charities.

    On September 11th, 2002, the inaugural First Responders Cup Tournament was held to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to celebrate the heroism of the Arlington Fire and Police who were the first at the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks.

    Congratulations to the Challengers and may we all never forget...
