CPC Outlook

I think everyone knows that North Davidson is going to be the team to beat with all of the returning arms and players they have. They can go 4-5 deep on the mound and have a ton of talent in the field. The rest of the league will be pretty good with Mount Tabor, West Forsyth, Davie, Reynolds and North Forsyth. This will be a good league again and I believe it will be very tough for even North davidson to go undefeated in this league. They will probably be preseason top 3 in the state this year. Does anyone think any of the other teams will be ranked in the preseason? This will be a league with alot of players fighting for player and pitcher of the year. Some early candidates are Garrison Lassiter-West, Levi Michael-North Davidson, Tyler Vogler-Mount Tabor, Zach White-North Davidson, Mat Batts-Mount Tabor. These are some of the top players that would probably be preseason picks for these awards. What is everyone else's thoughts for these awards and how the teams will fare?

 

It is a fact that Tyler Hanover will be going to North Davidson.

 

1. North Davidson - should win the conference zack white, clay watson,will anchor the pitching staff Levi Michael is a very solid player. Redmond should put up some big numbers, Now North Davidson can not complain about other teams recruiting if Tyler Hanover has moved in from East Forsyth

2. Mt. Tabor- this team could make a run at North Davidson matt batts is one of the top players in the state, Sam Rodgam and Tyler Vogler are 2 of the better players in the conference, also Brad Wrege and Hunter Thomas will be hard to handle.

3. Davie County - the most athletic team in the conference, even though they are only returning 2 starters Beam and Cartner, This team could be very dangerous a solid pitching staff that should be the strenght of the team Ryan Carter, Matt Oswell, Garrett Benge will anchor davies staff

4. West Forsyth - Garrison lassiter is on everyones watch list but who will they find to hit around him . This could be the end of the road for the titans baseball sucesses.

5. Reynolds - Doug Welch always finds away to be competive in this conference he gets the most out of his players than any coach in the conference. Should have a desent pitching staff.

6. North Forsyth- this team has along way to go almost like rebuilding a entire program. alot of kids that want to play but not alot of talent.

Central Piedmont Conference

This is a very good conference. North Davidson and Mount Tabor are going to be very good. But do not count out West Forsyth. They have some guys that are going to step up big for them this year. I predict they will be alot better than people think. It would not surprise me one bit if they are in the thick of the race right down to the last week. Last year they were loaded and I feel felt pressure to win every time out. This years team will play loose and will have some young studs on it. West Forsyth will make some noise count on it.

Is this from the AP wire or the lunch counter? This could change many things if true. Great kid and has a lot to look forward to at the next level. Strange to go out of county with Tabor in a good position and would be an easier transfer.

 

Agree with the order. But the top two teams I think are a toss up. It will come down to who is on the mound and if that have a good outing. As for the player award. I'll let performance handle that one. Too many good that I know to call one out.
