Uk7Dook3,,,,,, ok Intimidator reminded me of some names for South, and as he stated, I kinda look for South to finish in the top 3-4, because of what they have returning. Pitching-wise, they have the big lefty (nickname Rudy) sorry can't remember real name, and righty Chase Deal, in fact have a couple others who pitch well but believe those 2 will be the leaders. Basinger is solid behind the plate, and Wagner is simply one of the best hitters in the area.

Again I admit my ignorance of the other teams in the CPC, but am only trying to help out since folks want info on South & East Rowan. I'll ask around and provide more info as I get it.

Btw good to hear from you Intimidator,,,, I put your name in the hat for the South Legion job...:woot:

IC- post a thread about BA and keep it running. I'd like to get the college forum going this year and many people are interested in Belmont Abbey and their players

Catcher25, I had heard that Jones had taken a job at another school but it must not have been true. I'm a East Rowan guy myself but got the chance to talk with Coach Jones a few times last year. I beleve that he will do good. He is still young and not much older than the players but they all respect him. His team will not be out coached or out hustled. Shucks, ten years from now he might be called one of the best!
Everybody has there views on the conference this year so here is mine. Davie,W.F. and N.D. are loaded with everybody else fighting for fourth.W.F. has that good little league program and it seems like they win the state every other year so the talent just keeps coming in. N.D. is young but very good. I got to see Levi play with the Grays last year and he is going to be special. White might be the best lefty in the state his age and Ben is the best catcher that I have seen his age and if the other catcher is better he gets my vote for conference preseason MVP. I still believe that Davie is the favorite not because of transfers, secret weapons or all conference players but if they win it will be because of there senior leadership. Seniors like Corriher, Vogler, McDaniel, Johnson and the others take a lot of pressure off the underclassmen. Its going to be fun....LETS PLAY BALL!!!

How is the team chemistry at Davie going with the new faces transferring in this year? Davie has potential to be very good I just question if their pitching staff is as good as advertised? They have a lot of arms that could eat a lot of innings and be very competitive but do they have the number one starter that North Davidson and West Forsyth have? Davie has oldest team in the conference this year.

North has Andrew Hunt CPC player of the year last year returning to the mound along with White who proved he could win games last year as a Freshman. West Forsyth has Holt and number two man Jarvis back.

Look for South Rowan to cause some fits in the CPC. It is never easy playing in front of the rowdy South Rowan home crowd.

Can't wait for the season to begin!!!!! Should be a fun year in the CPC!!!!!

    dcbaseball,
You claim that Davie has an all conference caliber kid at every position. didn't they last year?? the had at least 7 all conference players last year if not more (not sure of exact number), more than any other team i remember.

How is the kid from south meck eligible when he wasn't eligible at his old school?? Shouldn't he be inieligible at least until the end of the 3rd quarter? or did he have the grades and no one knew about it? I don't know the kid so I am not knowledgeable about his particular situation.
