The CPC will likely be another dogfight this season--a real shootout!! Reynolds will be led by Jay Laramore (8-1) and Hampton Foushee (7-4). These guys have the chance to become the alltime winning duo in Reynolds history. If they produce another combined 15 wins this season, Reynolds will be a contender. West with Dusty Snow, Nick Siez-Riz, Stamper and N. Davidson with Tyler McKenzie and others will be tough competetion. You can bet that Davie and S. Rowan will field excellent teams and will be there until the final games. Great teams with outstanding coaches should make the CPC another exciting shootouy in 2005.

Davie is a young squad this year and should give alot of teams a run for their money...don't count them out. They are a year or two shy of being the top dawgs but will hold their own this year.

South Rowan will depend on the arm of Daniel Moore and his ability to throw strikes and keep the game low scoring. They have several good sticks (not sure of names) but this isn't a team who'll put up many 10-spots. Good pitching and defense will determine their success this year.

North Davidson is the diamond in the rough team that could possibly knock one of the favorites, West or RJR out of a playoff birth. They handed RJR two of its losses last year. Pack will be back on the mound with Mckensie in the OF. They have a freshman?/sophmore? pitcher who could step up and be the 2 guy on the hill. They'll be ready to play this year. They've been 3rd in the conference the past several years and that won't last much longer, I'm sure Meadows is holdin back vacation plans until after playoffs. this year? it'll be fun to see...

Reynolds is probably the slight favorites this year to take the CPC with their top 3 sluggers and entire pitching staff returning. They're probably the most balanced team 1-9 in the lineup this year and they're defense should be solid again since they return everyone except 2 or 3 seniors to graduation. 4 college bound seniors will provide the senior leadership to hopefully carry them deep into the playoffs.

West Forsyth should step up and be a playoff contender this year. They lost several key players to graduation, but shouldn't affect them any. The JV players moving up will have to contribute along with another solid year from Stamper, Snow, and Siega-Riz along with several transfer kids should have them battling it out with RJR for the conference. Pope always finds a way for West to win, and this year should be no different.

I agree with everyone that the rankings will be

    1. Reynolds just a great team with a great coach.

    2. West has some good players with lots of potential but Snow can not pitch every game.

    3. 4. ND is a young team but they have some good young pitchers. Good pitching can stop good hitting.

    4. Davie is a young team but they have a lot of pop in those bats this year. Only problem could be is not having any pitching other then John McDaniel.

    5. SR im not really sure about what they have but this team always comes out punching.

CPC will be a tough conference.

This is the most evenly matched teams this conference has had in several years no run away favorite this year.

Reynolds- should be the pre season favorite , Johnson, Foushee, larimore
West Forsyth- Should take the 2nd spot depends if Snow shows up for the big games. sieg-rez, Stamper
North Davidson- one of 3 sleeper teams in the conference 2 strong pitchers.Mckenzie will be a leader along with Brendle.Meadows best coach in the conference need to win to keep stock up.
Davie County - Another sleeper Johnny McDaniel can't pitch every game,Randolph, Vogler,Smith,Beck and alot of good young players
South Rowan- Daniel Moore Has to carry the load .Shore will be a key player.

Player of the year candidates- Foushee, Johnson, Sieg-rez, Vogler.

No Dusty can not pitch every game for West but He will be just fine with Brandon Johnson to handle the other games for him. This kid from what I read in other post finished the legion with an era of about 1. I sure would like to see Johnson from north and Johnson from west go head to head. If he pitches this season like he did in the legion dont be surprised to see West win it all.

Davie County should have a good year this year. They will be a young team that will be filled with sophmores and juniors. They should have a good conference record this year and be a very good team next year. This year Davie will be lead by Zach Vogler, John McDaniel and Lance Emert.

Speaking of the CPC...Congrats to Dusty Snow from West Forsyth for signing with Lenoir-Rhyne! He should be the backbone of the pitching staff this year for West.

    Other CPC signees...

Nick DeRose, SS, RJ Reynolds - Appalachian State
    Jay Laramore, 1B/RHP, RJ Reynolds - Lenoir-Rhyne
Hampton Foushee, LHP, RJ Reynolds - Harvard

I believe Brett Shore, 2B, South Rowan committed to Appalachian State...that's just hear say so I'm not positive about that...can anyone back me up??

Any other signees I missed from the CPC?
