    coach blasted

Yes ... I disagree with the comments that the so-called 3rd B coach said at the start of this thread. My hand would not hurt for 6 weeks, but I know where's some Easton bats that might have a few dents in it. No coach should ever tell his players to hurt someone or take out a player, it will come back on him. Remember the 2 girls that carried the hurt runner around the bases after the HR. This coach mentioned here would likely go nuts. .....Coaching Mercy...... I remember a few yrs back when 2 local HS teams played. One was verrrrrry good, state champs that year, had D1 players all over the place. The other team was just glad to field a team. Final score was about 30-0 and stopped game in 3 innings. The winning coach had girls switch hitting, bunting, not going for extra bases and so on. But our local paper CO reported that it was un fair to score so much. The winning coach caught a lot of heat about it. Next time a HS football team beats someone 70-6 and a half time score is 56-0, tell the coach not to score so many points. I believe he only scored 14 in the 2nd half. JMHO

I agree. Stand up for what you believe whether it is "politically correct" or not. That way no one has to wonder how you feel. Like my mama always told me, "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."

    HAVE FACTS TOGETHER!

Before everyone decides to form a posse against the coach in question, lets allow the cooler heads to prevail. Get your facts together is probably a GREAT place to start.
"Later in the game..opposing team's shortstop takes bad hop of the face..ball shoots over to 3rd base foul line...3rd baseman goes after ball..SS drops glove and grabs face..not sure if it's her nose,mouth,eye..all I hear is the guy at third upset with his baserunner for stopping..or course 1 or 2 runs had already crossed while we try to get the ball back in and ck on our player...OK stay aggressive??..yea mabe in a 1 or 2 run game..."<<During this particular play, ONE RUN scored, the girl that was at third ONLY. Say what you will, but I witnessed a game where a girl literally had her teeth knocked out of her mouth and the coach sent every single runner in around the poor bleeding girl trying to find her teeth. Remember, the FACTS are that the girl at third scored (before she realized what had happened).
While we are at it, if we are going to try to drag this coach down, lets take a moment, parents, and look in the mirror. How many of you were SCREAMING AND CURSING at the school after this game? If this is all about the example we are setting in terms of sportsmanship, our children will learn more about that watching us act like complete idiots cussing out people that aren't at all related to the game. Young children watching grownups cuss at school personnel for asking them to leave the premises, -sportsmanship? I think not.
This coach has a great relationship with these girls and would do anything for them - he is NONE of the things that ya'll are making him out to be (and I'm not related to him)

welcome teachnc to this board rocks softball forum.......just to throw something out there, one of the old guard once told me:

the measure of a coach is not just the relationship with his own players, but the relationship with the teams he plays against.

i dont know who's being discussed or if it's even a factual event. and thats the way we like it here, its just a point of discussion. so if you know who's being discussed, please keep it off the forum.
