The week is counting down to this match-up in Lawndale. It isnt the game of 2 Top 5 teams it was last year but nevertheless it is an important conference championship game.If Burns wins it puts the swfhaaa into a 3way tie and if Crest wins it is another outright championship and another undefeated conference season for the Chargers.

This game doesnt look as clear cut as it did earlier in the season when Crest was struggling through 3 tough losses and Burns was flying high winning impressively and highly ranked.Something has happened since those early weeks in the season,Crest has begun to gel as a team after all the internal disipline and key injury problems.Yes since the smoke has settled the resurgent Chargers have posted key wins over Hickory and SC power Marlboro county and to this point ran the conference table.Burns on the other hand has dropped 2 games to Hickory and Forestview and stuggled with teams like R.S Central,Fred T Foard especially in the second half.Turnovers have been the key culprit in this crash and they continue game after game.As long as Burns has ths problem they will not fair well against the Chargers.

The other question in this hard to read game is Crest has been starting a Freshman at quarterback. He is very slight in build but has a mighty arm but even as gifted as he is throwing the rock he is wildly inconsistant.Gullate played some last week and looked really rusty like he had been out 10 weeks instead of the 3 missed with the injury.Crest has been fortunate to have been playing the FT Foards of the world while the Freshman has been playing but now he faces a Talented and pissed off Bulldog team with a lot more team speed than he has seen so far this year. Can Gullatte come in and pick back up where he was at before the injury?

This my my take any other opinions or observations or perdictions?

Even with all the QB Questions I think Crest powerful defense will be the key and also how well those young DBs hold up

    Crest 21 Burns 20

It will not be that close. Crest wins by 20. Do the math- Burns 13 , Fred 0

    Crest 71 , Fred 0
