I hate to pick up a cheap win like this...but hey, when you are in 6th place and dropping..you'll take all the wins you can get.

I'd like to find out if this was something recent or it was a problem the whole year with this player

    NCHSAA eligibility rules

There was a problem at High Point Andrews a few years back when a basketball player was declared ineligible due to missing 17 days in the first semester. It caused a stir, and instead of going quietly, the kid's parents stirred up enough trouble that all records were checked throughout Guilford County and a probably 10 more ineligible students were found. Several coaches at Andrews and the AD were fired over it.

There was a bit of irony to the kid's eligibility. He was ranked 18th in the senior class and was a low major college basketball prospect. His mother also was having chemo treatments at Baptist Hospital and he took here there several times. Some of the other days he was out was to take college visits, which are unexcused absences.

    Crest Disqualified-Wonderful!!!!

Sure South Caldwell can't believe this has happened. They have a great season and it is taken away with something like this, and just the same with A.C. Reynolds. I agree with ReynoldsRocks23 and Jinx. Crest deserves this. They are by far the dirtiest team South Caldwell has played this year. They repeatedly kicked our players in the head after the tackle and whistle blown. A few of our players finally retaliated a few times, but SC has had very, very few calls of unsportsmanship conduct all season long. One kid tackles around the head, that's about it. Our fans were going crazy with the no calls. Later they had to talk to the two teams because the "Unsportsmanlike Conduct" was getting out of hand. They should have only talked to Crest players. If they (the refs) took control of this team of hoodlums earlier, it wouldn't get that way. Maybe Crest fans are used to this behavior. No class. SC as well as AC play classy football. Actions on the field determines the winner instead of the terrible language and degrading of opposing players on the field. Sure this might intimidate other teams, but our community would rather support a team that plays with class and sportsmanship and at the same time plays hard, state championship or no state championship. We will take our team anyday. Show it on the field, period. **** is the "Terrell Owens" of Crest. With his attitude, he won't go too far. It is really a shame....talent with no guidance to let your play do the talking. A real champion treats the opposing players with complete respect. His words on the field are far from respectful. Our team had not played a team like this and hopefully we will never have to witness this bad example of football ever again. Someone ought to clean up their act. I also truly believe there is much more to this story. They should at least be banned from the play-offs next year that way they would either clean up their act or get rid of coaches that have the win at all cost mentality. Sorry to ramble on but I decided not to address the bad behavior of the Crest team originally. Then this new news. ReynoldsRocks23 is right on the money about this team. They must have really showed their butts at AC Reynolds too. I for one would not be proud to support this team. Really a shame for the good kids on that team. There is bound to be at least one or two that were brought up by their parents or coaches to give this game that turns boys to men the respect it deserves as well as opposing players. No class, no class, no class. Grimsley you should be glad you didn't have to experience this show.

Personally, I've never held Crest, their integrity or class in high reguards. What a moron their principal is..."and I have no doubt these boys would have gone all the way." :77321_bs: that's easy to say when there are illegal players playing a good portion if not all the season.

Questions I think we outta get an answer from...first off, who in the administration knew of this infraction and who is held accountable?

Who was the player. I heard rumors it was *****. I hope not. He was one of the few for Crest who played with class and respect for the oppossing teams. As for *** absolutely no class there. Even heard of him getting in some of the oppossing coaches face and cussing them (fact not rumor) I talked to the coach he did this to. I pity the college that gets him. Tons of talent but no upbringing

well I must say the Crest offense was downright pitiful tonight

    Grimsley handled them with ease.

Crest didn't complete a single pass all night

No first downs. And Grimsley actually held them to zero yards rushing.

Talk about a team not showing...

I tell you who I feel sorry for - Grimsley.

That school and their fans were pumped to play - and they would have raked in a HUGE gate with Crest fans travelling and concessins. Lots of playoff dough left on the table.

Instead of making Crest forfeit their playoff shares they should make them pay it to Grimsley instead

Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
NW4AWATCHER, everything your team experienced was EXACTLY what we experienced here as well when we played them. It got so bad the refs would not allow the teams to shake hands after the game because the two teams were going at it so bad. I even had to hold one of our players back personally! You have played ACR several times and you know that is really out of character for our team, so yeah....justice was served today! :satana:

    No Sympathy

There are no tears being shed for Crest. They are and have been perhaps the most classless program in the state for at least a decade. I do feel for the players being denied an oppurtunity to play, but to play Crest is like jumping into a mudhole, some if it is going to get on you. Talent wise there is no doubt, they are superior. As for sportmanship, charector, and class, they are the absolute bottom of the drum. I know that Crest has some good fans, parents, and student athletes, but they go without notice because of some of the antics displayed by their football team. I hope that the kid who failed to meet grade requirements is never revealed. That should be confidential, so even it hits the grapevince, Crest fans, let it die. Don't punish the kid anymore than he is already being punished.

The team that I feel for, is a program of class like AC Reynolds. They would have been a fine representative for the West Region in the Finals.
