Cross Promotion in Caldwell County

    Tonight in an interview with Jason Savage on 1290am Hickory Crawdads General Manager David Haas announced plans to play a South Atlantic League Hickory Crawdad game at MS Deal Stadium on Granite Falls June 13th.

    Haas is a Caldwell County native and played on South Caldwell's 1982 State Championship winning team.

    SOOO, why is this in the prep area??? Well MS Deal is the location of the NW4A conference tournament, where Caldwell County Post 29 and Granite Falls Middle School play their home games.

    With the economic problems in Caldwell County, I for one would like to thank Dave for his efforts and ask everyone to come if they would like share in some baseball in one of the truely most beautiful stadiums around.

    As we get closer to the date, please re-post or bump this thread. I will sticky it to the front page. I think we could really rally around this game and get a lot of TBR posters to attend.

    If we want to really help contribute to the economy, we need to have some kind of TBR Rally...hotel reservations, BBQ picnic, battle between coaches, S. Caldwell vs Cherryville, in a dunking contest:D..have like a TBR reunion type thing. Lots of nice people in Caldwell county
