CVAC POY

    Congratulations go out to Trent Rothlin (Fred T Foard) for winning the first ever Catawba Valley Athletic Conference Player of the Year award!:trophy:

    Trent was absolutely dominant on the hill for the CVAC champion Tigers (25-4). His record was 11-0 while logging 77 2/3 innings of work. He only gave up 33 hits while fanning 126 and walking 17 (K/BB 7.4/1!). His ERA was a miniscule 0.72.

    At the plate, Trent posted a .412 batting average which includes 4 HRs. And they say pitchers can't hit......:redface:

    Oh, by the way......he still has another year to go!

    Way to go, Trent. I remember you when you were a wide eyed freshman and were just beginning to develop your immense talent. It didn't take long to figure out that you couldn't always throw it by the older kids. Thanks to a lot of hard work and a great coach at home, you are the real deal.

    Your parents (and FTF fans) are very proud of you as a player and a young man.:sun:

    If I am not mistaken this is the first year of the CVAC which includes 2A and 3A schools in the same conference.
