    this week...

    Newton-Conover travels to West Caldwell today for a make up game from last week, then goes to Hickory tomorrow. Both games are 4:40. We finish up the week with Saint Stephens at home Thursday at 7pm. This will be the first EVER night game at NC thanks to a new coach and wonderful boosters.

    WP- Evanna Robinson- 5K's, 2 hits, 2 walks

    Hitters for NC- Breanna Jones (4-5) 2run HR, Chelsea Cullars (4-5), Sara VanHorn (2-5), Caylee Berry (2-5), Evanna Robinson 1hit, 1walk, reached on error, Coco Linebarger (1-4) with a double.

    NC travels to Hickory tomorrow at 4:30, home vs Saint Stephens Thursday at 7pm.

    I would like to say Congratulations to Breanna Jones for her 1st high school home run....believe me, there will be many more from this young lady! Breanna plays for Steve Harkey's Piedmont Storm 14u.:N1YouGoGirl:

    Hibriten is still undefeated after playing Bunker Hill Tuesday Mar 24 Pope picthed a heck of a good game. Kristen Oakes got her first home run with a hit to left that cleared the score board. Hibriten won against Maiden yesterday Mar 30 th. They will be playing Bandys today at home which should be a really good game.

    Foard 11 Bunker Hill 1 - Congrats to Shania Johnson. She hit a 3 RBI Home Run over the LF fence. GREAT HIT!!!

    Game thursday

    Hey Nathan, You might need to tell your coach to talk to our coach about playing at 7:00 thursday night (our coaches don't know anything about playing at 7:00) our schedule says 4:30.

    We were informed that all home games after April 1 would move to 7pm so we can finally use the lights. I will notify the coach. Looks like another 4:30 game....:veryangry:

    WP- Evanna Robinson 5 K's
    Hickory used multiple pitchers due to injuries.

    Leading hitter for NC- Breanna Jones multiple hits, 4-5 Rbi's, Sara VanHorn also hit well, along with Coco Linebarger reaching base all 4 times.

    This game was 13-0 going into the top of the 5th when NC made too many substitutes(my opinion). A pitching change, couple other key changes about bit NC in the foot. Hickory scores 7 runs on ZERO hits, so we play the full game and tack on a couple more runs in the 7th. NC was hit with the error bug, but gained some valuable learning time for the younger players. Evanna pitched her heart out, the defense let her down big time.....no hitter through 4 complete.

    NC goes to 5-4 overall, 5-2 in the CVAC

    Bandys 1

    Was a real exciting game with a lot of runners in scoring postion left on base for both sides. Bandys is always a tough team. Hibriten is now 8 and 0 in CVAC.
