CVCC headed to the NJCAA World Series

    CVCC Buccaneers went 4-0 on the weekend in Morehead City to earn a trip to the DII NJCAA World Series in Enid, Oklahoma starting May 26th.

    Coach Pait & Coach Payne have done an incredible job to get such a young program to this level. Congratulations to the coaches and players!

    NJCAA World Series

    The CVCC Baseball team left this morning for the NJCAA DII World Series in Enid, Oklahoma. This is an amazing accomplishment for a 3 year old program. Coach Pait and Coach Payne have done things the right way and brought this program to the national scene very quickly.

    You can follow the World Series on the www.njcaa.org website. First game is Saturday at 9 am vs. Heartland Community College from Illinois. All games will be broadcast on this website.

    CVCC looks to be 2-1 right now.... lost the opening game to Heartland(52-6) by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. On Sunday they beat CC of Rhode Island (33-13) by a score of 11-5. They played again yesterday winning 11-1 over Lackawanna (47-12). They will play again today at 3:30 looking for revenge over Heartland (52-7) looks like this is an elimination game based on bracket. If they win that one they will play thursday at 7pm with a trip to the National Championship on the line. CVCC holds a current record of 38-16. Keep em rollin Coach Pate!
