I am not a negative person most of the time. What I was trying to say when I quoted ONDECK was that hard work will not bring success by itself. Now, I am not talking in the sports world but in life in general. If you work for someone & you think that hard work will get you ahead you are sadly mistaken. If you want to get promoted in a company you better be in the click or be kissing some major butt. It does not matter how much schooling or training you have.

I am sorry if my last post seemed negative towards ONDECK's post because I did not mean for it to be. I loved my days playing sports & learned a lot.

it is sad when hard work is taken as a threat to someone. it is bad enough when kids do it, but when it spills into adult world it really sucks. but i say hard work will always overcome even if its just a personal satisfaction or the one holding you down gets downsized ha ha!

U are right, hardwork does pay and companies that do not reconize that are probably not successful for the long haul. Understand Canam's frustration as I run a company of 43 employees. Sometimes working smart, having a positive attitute, offering suggestions, volunteering to take on a project, caring about your department or company as a whole, will reap much more praise and rewards on U that U would ever think. Sometimes hard work alone does not get U on the right person's radar screen. That said, the right person always knows when we do right, when we help others, when we give our employer, our family, our community our best. Rewards are not always necessary, feeling good about yourself and knowing your role may out weigh all other forms of gratification. :twocents: :twocents:
