    OK, now get over it....

....folks about this daddy ball stuff. Geez, we all get it and its frustrating to the dickens for sure but the more we as parents try to "help", the harder it is for your kid, her teammates and the coaches.
If you want to help, then keep your mouth shut during a game, like it or not, and then work with your kid when you get home.
No slander is intended to us who really want to yell what we think.

Just remember what my mom says, "this too shall pass".

Think about it parents, ....no REALLY give this some thought, what makes more sense in the development of rounding out our kids....1. to slingsnot and babysit our kids because something isn't going their way as you see it and have experienced it,
or.....2. let the kids deal with their own problems and let them hash them out the best way they can.

BTW, I've got a soph. HS who hit 2 BB doubles yesterday as the last batter in the lineup, DH, not on the field on D, so I feel your pain too.

Is there any area of life the same inequalities are not alledged? Kids learn from and develop from obstacles and challenges.

Marlin....bet you would agree with 2 things.....DH at the bottom is only temporary.....and the cream will ALWAYS rise to the top.....it don't matter whose churning or what the container may be.

you know, thats something else i never understood. dont parents realize just what they've set their kids up for? u know, the abuse from other players, the reputation that will never leave, that kind of thing? or is that just a secondary though after the fact??

Yeah, they were nice hits for sure! She was being pitched to before I was aware it was her. I had pulled CF in for the previous batter and missed moving her back.

Great comments on the daddy-ball junk!

I am in the same boat as you. A soph. who bats no D and last stats I been found online she has a .571 avg go figure.

....all I can say is to tell her to get up, brush herself off, and kickbutt the best that she can, and after that, no matter the outcome or success in stats, she can look herself in the mirror and say "I gave my all" and she'll remember that 10 times over a great diving catch or a 4-4 batting game.

Wish you and your DD the best!
