Dahlonega, Ga 23u

This past weekend was the 23u tournament sponsered by the University of North Ga. and the Wilson Select 23u team. It was great! the talent was terrific and several NC girls got to really show what we have here and compete with some of the best teams in the south!! Congrats go to the 23u NC Curve for coming in with a great showing and making it to the last day. Also the Wilson Select out of Atl. (which features several NC players)made it to the last day. It was won by a N Fla team and the Ga. Extreme? were runners up with the Curve and Select close behind. It's one thing to go to a tourny and see college coaches (which is awesome) but it is another thing to watch college players compete. Fly balls that normally hit the ground don't touch green but are caught. No ball in play is ever given up on. Pitching is technique and speed and setting up for the next pitch....Not just competeing but imposing one's will on another. Some schools that had players in attendance: FSU, Miss St., Winthrop, C of C, Auburn, Va Tech, Presbyterian, Mercer, UNCW, Alabama, Ga. Tech., Va., Charlston Southern, Troy University, USC (SC). If there were some I missed I apologize. All this is geared toward the really big one in Roanoke Va this coming weekend. We played that one as well last year and you see girls from schools all across the country. Alot you've seen on ESPN. If you get a chance try and make this one. I'm not a promoter just a fan and a proud dad of a player.
