David Gibbons to UNCW!

    Was just informed by my son that 2009 Wilson Fike centerfielder David Gibbons gave a verbal commitment to the Seahawks. He will likely redshirt his freshman year. I know Miller is proud! Congratulations to David and his family.

    I remember seeing him play a couple of times last year and being impressed with his tools and the especially the way he plays the game. Congrats UNCW is a great school and your going to be playing with some great guys at UNCW.

    Just curious, why would he redshirt freshman year?
