DB & RC???

Actually, the Impact Baseball 'Top 20" field rankings were voted on by about 30 high school coaches throughout NC. This is not 'just' the opinion of Impact Baseball. Of course Impact's opinion is in there...

Since the vote I personally have seen A LOT of new fields in my travel. A new Top 20 will be out before next spring.

West Henderson looks good in the picture 'Mudcat.'

Ashbrook high school will be there next poll and South Meck's yard is polished. Coach Bag's field will probably move up. I hear East Meck's park is top shelf too.

Hey, there are only 400+ fields to choose from.

:xyzwave: I thought I couldn't come back til I had me one of them aviatar thngs...thanks for lettin me off the hook. Sabrefan and Southloop hooked me up with one and gave me destructions on how to use it. I can't find time to learn myself how.

Unfortunately, no agitator could do justice to the blues we Dodger fans have had for about a decade now -- this year's start was just a dang teaser.

Anyway, had a good vacation traveling through Virginia -- saw several impressive college campuses (we loved W&L the most) and had a good time. Right now I'm immersed in something most of you guys would hate to hear about -- soccer -- coaching my 2 daughters' teams -- one a U15 and another a U10 team. I love coaching girls -- they actually want to learn, and they're a whole lot cuter than the guys. And we're cranking up our church youth group activities for the fall -- freshman "fresh start lock-in weekend " coming up. And I have lots of destruction going on at the homestead, too.

Oh yeah, and they decided I had to work to get a paycheck -- imagine that. So I'll stay on break from the board for a little longer, but I'll try to drop by every now and then to catch some news and I will be back eventually.

Loved the post on Drew Martin -- my absolute, no-one-else-comes-close, favorite high school player, and also second the farewell post to Robert Woodard -- one of a kind, we will miss having him around here as THE example of what a fine young man, who also happens to be a fine baseball player, should be about. I'm also happy to hear my alma mater is continuing to recruit in Charlotte -- congrats to Kyle and go Heels! In fact, congrats to all the early commitments -- it really sounds like people have figured out that this area can produce some talented players.

BTW, those were my buddies Dodgergreen and Dodgeryellow at the first of this post, for those of you who remember them. They're out there lookin for atitaters themselves.
