Here are some full game stats for the Lady Titans...

Kurie Washington: 22 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists
Kelsea Greene: 12 points, 5 assists, 2 steals
Ebonique Hamilton: 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks
Xandie Gellman: 11 points, 8 rebounds
Jessica Smith: 7 points, 7 assists

    McDowell FT%: 29/34 (79.4%)
    McDowell Turnovers: 12

It's amazing that this team is averaging 86.4 points per game when in most of their games they have played a half-court defense 90 percent of the time and the fact that none of the starters are playing more than maybe half the game.

I want to see a convincing win over Roberson before I'm convinced the high scoring matters, Dan. We'll see next Wednesday?

Valid point...our lowest scoring game of the season was the 57 point effort against Roberson.

    OUCH!

But the season is still young so i hope they stay focused. I am a bit surprised though. Watauga had a decent 14u AAU team that went to YBOA nationals so there should be help coming up but that I guess that wont heal the wounds this year.

Yes the 14u team was a very good team. 7 of the 10 players were 13u playing up on a 14u team. Two of the players are on the Varsity team. The rest are on the JV team. The varsity team is struggling a little, but have the capability to compete. They just must start believing in each other and having the confidence in themselves. Don't be suprised if they are 1-0 after tomorrow night. Look for things to come together for the Lady Pioneers.

And by the way WHSHOOPSFAN, if you have a comment about the team, keep it to yourself. No one needs any more negative remarks about the team.

    Go Pioneers
