    East Meck versus West Meck

Lets hear some game reports. How are people really looking? Is EM going to be for real in the SW4A? Can WM be competitve in the Meca8 this year?

I play for West Meck and was not overly impressed with East Meck. They hit the ball pretty good and most of them know how to hit it where it is pitched. I was told after the game that they threw their #1 and #2 pitchers at us and they didn't look all that great. As for West, I think that we can contend very much in the MECA-8. Our pitching is very good and our defense is better than it has played our first two games. If we can cut down on our errors and hit better, our pitching is good enough to win us some big games.

    Fantastic baughn3......

Keep the reports coming... Update us on your pitching rotation, key hitters, everything. I know the game was a tight one 4-1 and I know that East Meck is supposed to threaten in the SW4A....... It will good to have another team chasing Hopewell with us.....

hey buddy, if you think east wasnt that impressive and all that, than yall must ****, considering you lost and everything. also take note that it was the first game of the year, and they havnt practiced much due to all the rain. and you said there pitchers werent impressive, well they held you to one run..... i dont play for east but i have seen them play, and they have a good shot of winning the SW4A

yes the game was plaed tuesday....ashboro won 5-2...kannapolis had good pitching but had errors in the field...and did do so hot at the plate except for a few. drew maher, andrew mead , austin carithers all pitched 2 and did a good job, petty closed it out. in my opinion both teams could have played alot better

i know that east has good senior leadership but what it takes to win in highschool baseball is pitching and thats what east has the least of. they have one above average arm (buchanen). Burnham is a good player but he's not a pitcher. I predict a finish of third or fourth by east meck. How many playoff spots does the sw4a have this year?

the butler pitchers all looked great. they threw strikes and made very few mistakes for so early in the season. i think they had a combined maybe one or two hitter. none of them (except haus) dominated, they just threw strikes. Haus looked pretty good ( i think he struck out 5 in two innings of work). Vance pitching on the other hand looked pretty weak. Their pitchers walked alot of people. I agree with reddtroll that both teams hitting looked pretty weak. I guess thats just a by product of all of these rainy days.

Asheboro looks to have a strong team. They had some good arms and a couple of guys who can swing it a bit. The Kannapolis pitching looked good, but the defense didn't. Neither team was lighting up the scoreboard with the bats, but it's early.
