    Has anyone heard of any results down in Myrtle Beach?

    Cubs Americans, on Sat., either beat the Diamond Devils 18s 8-7, or tied them 8-8, depending on who you ask. On Sunday the Americans beat the Megastars 17s 16-0, and Wilmington Select 8-2. Wilmington Select is basically the Post 10 legion team comprised of kids from Pender Cnty. High, Topsail High, Trask High, and Dixon High. They may have few other kids also. Scrappy bunch of kids. The Wilmington Laney Head Coach is their coach , assisted by the Topsail Head Coach, Bill White.

    I thought Scott Sandlin was coaching the Select Team out of Wilmington. I knew Bill White was helping, but THe last time I read Vern Barker was the head coach at Laney.

    You're correct Coach. It IS Sandlin. I was incorrect about him being Head Coach at Laney.
