    Eleanor Quim, a 5-2, 340-pound senior catcher from Catfish Junction. can swat the ball a country mile with her 10-pound 48-inch bat. solid defense: very nimble behind the place despite her enormous girth; great arm, and nothing gets by her. Surprisingly quick on the basepaths, she's only been caught stealing three times in 202 attempts. And — surprise, surprise — she's a switch hitter.

    An aspiring gymnast, she's a whiz on the uneven bars. was named Pike County Milk Princess in 2005 and has toured the country serving as an ambassador to the dairy industry. Wants to be on Dancing With the Stars and land the role of Natalie Green in the big picture version of Facts of Life.

    Greatest moment outside of softball: the Pike County Hot Dog Eating Contest this past summer. A contest favorite along with returning champeen Harvey Smail, her bid for the title seemed derailed when, only a minute in she began choking on a too-big piece of frankfurter. Down by 21 hots dogs in the waning seconds, she stunned the crowd at the Pike County Fairgrounds by swallowing poor Harvey whole, thus getting credit for the hot dogs he had consumed and waddling away with the title.

    Um, beauty isn't a word you'd associate with Eleanor Quim. Beady, maybe, as in her eyes, but definitely not beauty.

    Yeah, but you have met Eleanor. If she says she is beautful...she is beautiful. Ask Shrap, he adores her (well, on second thought dismiss that thought)
