Dion Malachi to play in Charlotte All-Star Classic

    Crest senior Dion Malachi will play in the 15th Annual Charlotte All-Star Classic Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Vance High School.
    The game will feature some of the best public and private school talent from around the region.
    Malachi was a first-team Big South 3A/4A selection and garnered second-team AP all-state honors.

    Crest senior Dion Malachi scored 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds Saturday to help his team grab an 82-80 win Saturday in the 15th Annual Charlotte All-Star Classic basketball game at Vance High School.

    The 6-5 Malachi, a first-team Big South 3A/4A pick and second-team Associated Press all-state performer, was also credited with three blocked shots and had a couple of dunks in the contest.
