I'll be in Raleigh this afternoon and want to go see Cary play Hoggard at 5:00. I need directions to Cary HS from the Sheraton Imperial hotel on I-40. Anyone out there who can help?

Can't help you with directions, but it was good to meet you at Crest a few weeks ago. Be careful with the company you travel with, that Mr. "B" can be a hand full.
Good luck to the guys in green.

Look for the water tower and drive to it. ;)

I graduated from Cary last year. Played ball 4 years at CHS, great setting for a high school field and you will enjoy it. I think the team will have their hands full with Hoggard (we graduated about 7-8 Seniors last year).. but I hope the boys in green can pull it out as well. The football team tears up the outfield all fall, but it's probably startin to look good. I just hope it's lookin great for Legion season....

JM15, one day we'll have to meet. First I run into your boy Hilton Pittman in Jackson, MS and today I got to watch the Cary boys try to win one over Hoggard. This evening Hoggard was just too much for the Imps.

Green Hope was there to scout Cary before Friday night's matchup. The coach said Cary was holding their ace for them (GH). That's a tough conference and the winner will come out with battle scars!

Joe Cutler is Cary's ace this year. He is a lefty that is headin to the Univ. of Tampa next year. He isn't the biggest guy (he's not small either... about 5-11, 165 maybe.) but he will lead the team in batting and pitching. He led the legion team in batting this past summer in Legion ball. He is one heck of a player with a real good work ethic.

I am comin home to see the GH-Cary game, it is always a great game. Last year, we split. We won in Cary in a 12 inning battle, and lost at GH (GH's pitcher, Kory Judd tossed a 1 hitter against us... and guess who had the one hit ;)). Also, in the game @ GH, Brian Caudill (Now at App State) pitched for us and gave up 2 hits... a lead off hit to open the game, and a homerun later in the game to Jon Willard (Chipola College)...we lost 1-0.

The conference isn't as strong this year, a ton of seniors graduated. Fuquay, Cary, and Green Hope lost a LOT of seniors. But it is still one of the toughest conference's around. Playing teams like Apex, Lee Co., Middle Creek (young, but going to be VERY good), GH, Cary, Fuquay, and W.H. twice a year is very hard.

Southpawdad, Let me know when you are back in the east. I play ball at Lenoir Comm. College in Kinston, and this summer I will be back in Cary playing my last summer of legion ball (depending on my summer school schedule).
