I am new on this Board and can see it is a good, but........

I have one question: Who is AP?

It seems some of you may not have your facts straight. About 6 years ago most of the teams you listed played in the Dirtbags tournaments for 3 years straight. By the way the canes won 2 Impact World Series in the time. 1 at App State against the Dirtbags and the other at USC in which the Dirtbags did not make the finals.

old timers could see this thread coming the minute the "Bags" won the championship... it's like eatin' too much collards, you know you (and everyone around you) are gonna have to deal with some gas!

BBCoach25, grad year 2007, Canes help 16 players reach the college level. Bags have 50 go on to college or pro ball... But, whose keeping score? I see it as 66 kids got a chance to continue their dreams.

 

Where did AP play college ball at?

 

The canes had 23 kids comitte in 2007 and by the way 9 of the d bags from 2007 comitted when they were still with the canes. Your facts are on point today keep it up.

 

The numbers I gave are from the canes and bags websites under alumni on each. The numbers were for 2007 grads only who moved on to the next level that year. If I was mistaken then it was due to an error on the canes site.

Here's what was so awesome for the boys and the families during this tournament run by the Dirtbags: we had a team full of heroes and by that I mean that every player had a job to do during those 5 days in one game or another and every one of them did their job and then some when called upon to do so. I could name kids and games and plays and at bats but I couldn't name them all and I'd leave someone out and that wouldn't be right - this was absolutely a total team effort! We had huge at bats when we needed them, and we made plays when we needed them and our pitchers threw great games.

It was so awesome to see the chemistry on and off the field and when it was all said and done, we all lingered in spite of planes and travel schedules because we didn't want it to end. We have all forged friendships and made memories that we will never forget. It was a great way to finish it out!

 

It would be great if we could get a best of 7 series to happen between the 2 teams. Since that will never happen I think everyone should stop talk trash and look at the great things these 2 teams have done.
