Cut the horseshit, son. I've got their disciplinary files right here. Who dropped a whole truckload of fizzies into the swim meet? Who delivered the medical school cadavers to the alumni dinner? Every Halloween, the trees are filled with underwear. Every spring, the toilets explode.[/QUOTE]

True. UNC's 2011 commitment list has players from the Dirtbags, Panthers, On Deck, Cubs, & Canes. All of their in-state commits come from these 5 programs. Other years might be different. I guess if you're keeping score the Dirtbags have the most commits with 6.

If the Canes don't bring in other players then why was the roster full of players from Maryland, Mass, and other places on the east coast.I just got finished looking at there roster and didn't see these names. What happen to the players that played all year and parents who paid for them to play?Thats being loyal!! The most important tournaments are East Cobb, Ft. Myers and Jupiter. You play with a team all year and then the big ones come around and you can't go because you are not good enough or we are bringing in new players so we can say that our org. won the big one. I know the team that AP took to Jupiter had played with the Dirtbags all year. Was the team that Petty had in Fla. full of Canes that had played with him all year??

Bringing in needed extra pitchers for a 5 day tournament is nothing uncommon. It saves the arms of the existing pitching staff and gives the entire team a better chance to make it all the way through the tournament with relatively fresh arms. Something that doesn't happen as often as you would think, as was found out in Jupiter. My kid plays for the Canes and we don't live in NC. So? Their goal is to get the kids on the Canes roster noticed by recruiters. I can tell you that he received a few calls from recruiters sight unseen merely because he was on the roster of the Canes. I don't remember it being billed as an exclusive NC team or VA team or SC team, but just a baseball team. The Bags can be exclusive if they want and its their right but they are one of the very few across the country that are. Ridiculous statements such as the 'regular guys sat on the bench or were kept from going to tournaments' are just that, ridiculous.
