On November 22nd there will be a tryout at South Granville HS. Players interested go to www.Impactbaseball.com where you can fill out the registration form. There is no cost for this workout. Walk ups will be charged 10 bucks.

We are looking for 2011 2012 2013 players. We will be selecting some players from this tryout for our summer and fall teams. If you want to play for the Dirtbags this is your opportunity.

2013 seems a little young. Rising 9th grade, right? That's the age of my youngest. When i look at him I just can't believe he's ready for something like this. And he's as mature mentally and physically as anyone I've met this age. I'm not doubting this. It's obvious that I don't understand this stuff. No offense coach 27. Good luck at tryouts.

    Am I wrong?

I thought I read earlier this year that the Dirtbags were not going to have open trouts any longer. It was going to be invite only.

    Tryout

The Dirtbags have always used ID camps , Showcase events , tryouts and scouting of High School games as a way to ID and find players for their teams. This has not changed.

2013 Players - These guys will be rising 9th graders this summer when they start playing. There are some very talented 2013's out there that want to play up and are very capable of doing so. I saw a couple at the USA Complex that were playing against 10's and 11's and more than held their own.

Instruction and development will be heavy with these younger players in our program next summer and fall since they are so young. We would love to add some younger players and bring them up through the program and build a strong core of younger players for the future.

If you are a 2013 and you believe you can play and want to get the opportunity I will see you on the 22nd. And of course we are looking for talented 2011 and 2012's.

Stretchy- you can share mine. He's in the 5th grade, but he's already showing talent at recruiting the pretty girls (a must on your list)

    Very excited

I am very excited about this. My son got the opportunity to play on a 18u team as a 15 year old. He got the opportunity to play with Dallas and Drew Poulk and many others and he got the chance to catch guys like Mac Reed etc. He got the chance to face pitchers during the summer that had already signed with major college programs. He got the opportunity to play WWBA events at a young age and learn from these guys what it took. He still says it was one of the best things he was ever a part of getting to not only play with those guys but learn so much from them.

When a kid comes into hs as a freshman the days of competing in your own age group are over. Your know 14 or 15 competing with and against guys not only your age but guys 16 17 and 18 years old. For me this is a tremendous opportunity for the younger guy that whats to be challenged and learn from older more talented players what it takes to get where they want to go. A rising 9th grader that gets to play and learn at this level prior to entering hs is getting a heck of an opportunity. We have identified some outstanding 2013's so far and are looking to ID some more.

Again its not for everyone and if its not for you I dont expect to see you on the 22nd. But if this sounds like something you would like to be a part of I will see you on the 22nd. I had two 2012's on my 2011 team and we competed at the 2010 underclass event at Ft Meyers. Both were outstanding not only in that event but all year long. And of course we are looking for 2012 and 2011 players for the summer and fall as well.

I am sure these guys are going to be playing somewhere this summer prior to entering hs. I can not think of a better situation for a talented young player to be in.

If you have any questions about the tryout please PM me. I will be glad to answer any questions you might have.
