These 2 programs have played each other now five times this year, the dirtbags and won 2 and the o's have won 2.

They tied today 4-4 in a 9 inning game. Both pitching staffs were phenomenal the entire game, it was 1-1 going into the bottom of the 8th and the o's put 3 on the board, then in the top of the 9th, the dirtbags came back and tied it at 4. overall a good, well played game by 2 quality teams

    Braves,

I got to see Andress and Layman pitch for On Deck and Stoneburner and Morris for Impact....these guys looked very good!

Both teams were using wooden bats so not a lot of offense....I did get see Chase Austin hit a double off of Morris to lead off the 6th inning....Rhino smiled at him while he was standing on 2nd and said something to him we probably can't repeat....he left him at 3rd.

Braves....you know I'm counting the days to see Andress, Layman and Morris get going on the mound for South....please let them stay healthy!!!!

Good group of College Coaches there Sunday. Coach Sully from Clemson was there sitting with Coach Tanner from USC, I'm sure Sully was bragging a little since USC were both recruiting Morris and Stoneburner and Clemson ended up with both guys.

Impact and On Deck both have excellent teams....it's going to be fun to watch them in Jupiter later this month. :ylsuper:

The 4 O's starters also included J Bard and T McConnell. Combined the the first 4 gave up one unearned run through 8. Kirkpatrick and Fulginiti (both Charlotte Christian) had opposite gap doubles in the early innings against Stoneburner. O's left a lot of runners in scoring position.

In the 9th, Bunting or Liles (I think) had a lead-off triple for the Dirtbagswhile Mailman (Providence HS) had a key 2 run double into the rt field corner. O's bullpen hasn't found itself yet.

3-4, Bard (1 unearned run, threw very well, hard)
5-6, Layman (no runs, also threw well)
7-8, McConnell (located, kept impact off balance, no runs)
9, Rockecharlie (didnt throw bad, threw strikes, dirtbags just hit him, 3 runs)

    Spring Summer Fall and Winter

Guys dont take this wrong ok. But when do these guys take a break from playing and work on getting better. I had two that played Spring of course then showcase in the summer and fall. Several played in the summer and fall on local teams. After the Fall schedule we use Mid Oct to Mid Jan to work on getting bigger stronger and faster as well as give the arms a little break. Is it just me or are these guys pushing it a little by continueing to play well into the year? And how much do they need to be seen? How many times do you need to be seen? Any thoughts? Im not knocking these guys. Im not saying that I have the answers. I just feel for our guys that they need some time to rest the arms and work on individual skills and individual conditioning etc. Again Im not trying to say that what they are doing is wrong. I would just like to hear what some of you think.
