Providence won regular season. I don't remember who won the conf tourny. Only thing I do remember is that SM made it to the State Championship losing in extra innings and then another 1 run game the following day. Although they did lose, I;m sure they were proud of what they accomplished by getting there. The more disappointing season for SM was the year before

East Meck just has South's number....South finally "snuck" a game past them in the playoffs to move on last season....

Coach Bagwell is a very good coach....he just needs to relax, have fun and enjoy the talent South Meck is blessed with this year. I think you will see Coach Bagwell get the most out of his players this season....as all of you know, baseball is a funny thing...a lot of different factors go into making a team successfull.

If I'm not wrong Providence beat East Meck in a squeaker at UNCC. This isn't another example of selective memory, is it???

But South should be very, very tough this year, loaded all the way around, especially with pitching. 4 of Hopewell's none conference games are 2 apiece with South Meck and Providence. I don't think anyone will say we've stacked our schedule.

i don't know what their record was last year. all i know is they beat us in the regional finals. they were a very good team that was very well coached. they showed a lot of class when they played us (i still think we got screwed out of the first game :banginghe ) but that is another story :imagestor coach bags did a great job. i know there are hundreds of better coaches in the stands though, right??

Catamount....better coaches in the stands, better coaches at home that didn't even see the game....it's amazing how easy it is to coach a game once the outcome has been determined and then decided what you should have done....

Most of our High School coaches don't get the credit they derserve. The SW4A has a very talented group of coaches....both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches.:twocents:

:rotflmao:....although I know that Catamount did not find this to be funny at all, you would think the umpires at home would be a little more "homerish" if there is such a word..... But not to drag up old nightmares:D

I still find it amusing that my son and Dusty Snow are great friends now. But in that 2nd game...Dusty wanted to strangle him. BASEBALL....ya gotta luv it!

Yes, it is, but one thing that my memory has not tainted...we beat Providence in every game that we played them last year...yep...I definately remember that :D
