Dirtbags vs. O's @ Winthrop

The SW4A was very interesting last year.
East was able to beat South twice in the regular season and again in the conference tournament before losing to them in the state playoffs.

Providence beat East twice in the regular season and again in the conference championship.

As Braves mentioned, South beat Providence twice in season and again in the states to advance.

Three very solid teams that in a lot of ways matched up differently. East was thin on pitching but had 8 seniors that played very well together. Providence had great seniors with a nice compliment of younger players. South had definitely the deepest pitching and a very solid starting lineup. All I know was it was a lot of fun to watch develop. We can hope this year will be as competitive. Expect Butler to take over for East and add Independence to the mix. Should be fun.

just have to sit and laugh now. it is funny how adversaries become friends in a different setting. my point was simply that coachbags did a great job with his guys. i know some where ready to hang him before the run. funny how coaches can go from hero to goat (or vice versa) in a very short period of time. it is a good thing that SOME parents don't sway that much with their kids.
