I was at a very good ballgame tonight in davidson county and saw a mother and father act like a bunch of fools. The kind that thinks their daughter is the best at their position ,when if thier dd played in some of the games that the other girl played in, the team would never have had the season they had. The two players I'm talking about have been head to head in several games and it's not even been close. I'm not directly involved in the situation, it's just a shame that some people have to make fools of them selves and take shots at other kids, just so they can feel better. I 've seen this team play many times and they have a very good TEAM and again it's a shame that some a%# *&^*s have to try and ruin it for everyone.

    Clarification?

Were they taking shots directly at the other player or just making fools of themselves in front of the other parents out of earshot of the players? Not that either one is acceptable but if they were taking shots at the player, among other things that I can't say, someone should video tape them and play it back to them.

Was in front of everybody not directly at the player unless the player looked. When the game was over it was worse. I hope it ends because talking about another girl just shows your ignorence and could cause problems. People like this should not be allowed to go to a game.

this is becoming a very common experience. its like the player/parent figures that they can beat someone out in a position by verbally tearing them down instead of competing physically and mentally for the spot. this could possibly be cured by a rock solid "ethics and sportsman" contract between parent, player and team. however, it has to be strickly enforced by head coach and priniciple or its just a waste of paper. next year we will have a zero tolerance on this issue, all detremential issues will be spelled out for all to understand and the issue you're talking about will be the number one thing not to do. zero tolerance as in the player will be removed from the team no matter who she is or who her parents are or how it will affect the team with no warnings period. you signed the contract, now honor it as we honor our part.....this issue will take a team mentally down the toliet in a hurry....
