Division 2 National Championship

    Don't forget that the NCAA Division 2 National Championship is being played in Cary this week at the USA Complex.

    Currently..
    UC San Diego 1-0
    Central Missouri 1-0
    Tampa 0-1
    Georgia College and State 0-1

    Kutztown 1-0
    Southern Indiana 1-0
    Franklin Pierce 0-1
    Minnesota State 0-1



    Game 5 losers bracket is tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 4th between UT and GCSU. Game 6 winners bracket tonight between UCSD an UCM should be one of the best all week.

    Tampa just was eliminated 2-1 by Georgia College. They are the first team out of the tournament.

    We have been in a rain delay for over 1.5 hours.... With no rain.

    UCSD vs UCM sometime.

    UCSD won 2-1 late last night.

    Mark Rossman of UCSD pitched an 11-inning complete game for the win.

    San Diego is now sittin nice at 2-0.

    Today you got losers bracket Franklin Pierce vs Minn. State, then a winners bracket game tonight with Southern Indiana and Kutztown.

    Kutztown came down from Pennsylvania and made a short tour of the SAC this spring. I had them at LR and they are pretty good.

    Which Minnesota State team is in?

    I believe it was Minn State Mankato


    Kutztown and Central Mizzou were eliminated yesterday.

    Today:
    GA College and State (2-1) vs Southern Indiana (2-0) at 3pm
    Franklin Pierce (2-1) vs UC San Diego (2-0) at 7pm

    If Southern Indiana and San Diego both win, then they play on Saturday at 12 for the championship. If either or both lose, there will be games tomorrow. I'm sure the grounds crew, concession staff, PA guy, facility workers, etc are all hoping for So. Indiana and UCSD to win today. Its been a long week out there.
