Does anyone recognize this person??

hey there i just thought i'd surprise u with the wonderful knowledge that i have been gaining while in college...now i know that guru is very well known by TBR participants so i thought i'd let u in on a lil secret. we are currently studying hinduism in my world religions class and i couldn't help but laugh when reading the chapter there was an entire section devoted to none other than "The Guru" so i learned that Gurus do not declare themselves as teachers, but people are drawn to them because they have achieved spiritual status to which the seekers aspire. A guru does not provide academic instruction.(or else we would all be in major trouble lol) Rather, he or she(we don't know which he is yet haha) gives advice, example, and encouragement to those seeking enlightenment or realization. When seekers find their guru they love and honor him or her as their spiritual parent. The guru does not always behave as a loving parent; often disciples are treated harshly, to test their faith and devotion or to strip away the ego. True devotees are nevertheless grateful for opportunities to serve their guru, out of love. while i was reading all this in class i couldn't help but let out a little laugh were the teacher asked me what was so funny about the reading seeing as it is a serious topic, and all i could think of was if only these people knew OUR (TBR) Guru they would run away in shame....

 

hahaha i know who did that....does anybody else find that funny because i do!
