    Well..I always feared the day my son would come home with a girlfriend. I KNEW it would just ruin his baseball career!! Thinking I was nuts (and I probably am), my son assured me that when he was on the field, it was his greatest stress reliever. No matter what was going on in the outside world, he didn't let the peripheral stuff bother him. Fortunately, there wasn't any negative impact from his having a girlfriend to truly test his theory. As for his college coach..he told us he has a couple of rules when it comes to girls "No breaking up with a girl during the season and no looking for a girl during the season." Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but good enough, I suppose. I wanted to hear something more along the lines of "we don't allow our baseball players to have girlfriends." :supergrin:
