Does the running "Slap" hitting yield good results?

    do yah

    Only thing I said was that LA LAF scored 2 runs with 2 out slapping... Thats all. Did not say slapping was better.... I'll take scoring anyway I can get it

    infield condition

    you don't suppose the "slapper" teams manage their skinned infields to make sure it is rock-hard , do you???

    ....true, and I posted that UCLA rocked hitting the conventional way.
    I love a true slapper, ASU just got a triple by a leftie who threatened to slap and the hit the ball hard.
    Lefties with power and speed, wow!

    Don't know about a hard infield.....but I do know of instances in years past where visiting teams with lots of slappers found the front of the box a little short.

    Oh yeah, ran across that a few times with teams that had good drop ball pitchers. I brought it up several times to the umps. One told me it didn't make any difference because it was the same for both teams. Had a coach tell us we were the only ones who had ever complained about it.
