Donations

I hope everybody that utilizes TBR Preps to promote their clinics and camps, and the members that have found this site helpful can now help us to continue to keep TBR rockin'.

For 10 years we have been able to keep this site free by depending on our members to help us through donations. Since we no longer are able to collect google ads, we are left with Larry D coming out of pocket to keep TBR going.

So far we have had one organization to help out--Champions Baseball Academy--and four individuals. I want to thank those of you that have helped (I did so personally.)

I would love to post all names that are contributing, because I think it's important to note the one's that are helping, but I never will post names without permission. It would be cool to post it as a sticky, though.

 

How are the donations coming along?

Although I have never posted anything before, I have enjoyed reading the topics of discussion on this board for over four years now. I have found this board to be an extremely valuable source of information because of all the knowledgeable people who have contributed their thoughts and experiences. I hope a lot of people out there will step up to the plate to help with the costs of maintaining this site in order to keep it going strong for a long time to come.

Any updates?

These are the one's that I am currently aware of from Baseball Preps. There is one that donated, but I only have their real name, not their screen name. I believe it is GWTW62.

I am so thankful for those that have. I'll ask LarryD for a current dollar figure, but I can tell you we could use much more. I hate asking for donations, so I'm hoping we can generate enough to last quite awhile.

 

This is a unique part of this board. People believe only the members read the board. Actually, I wish everyone that visits posts, but many just read. As long as one doesn't attack a player or member, I appreciate all posts. It takes time to organize one's thoughts and post it ( or in some cases it takes no time---just post whatever comes to mind.) But I remember many times during the HS season when it showed 40+ members on Preps....but another 200+ were visiting. Now if I can find a way to get those 200 visitors to join up and post, we would really become a community.

Unfortunately, many of those visitors are coaches and it is difficult to get them to post. It makes me appreciative for the one's that do. It's why we should celebrate the coaches that do post. Their perspective is very important for us to hear.

 

Have enjoyed this site tremendously over the last few years (lurked for awhile, as do many others I imagine). I especially enjoy reading about the events from way across the state, as we live on the coast. Sites such as this one, there are other ones as well, will cease to exsist if we don't support them financially. Times ARE tough for most, but we can hardly expect just a few to pay for the enjoyment of all. Please contribute (if every reader, lurker and posters gave a couple of dollars...) so this site will be available in the future.....

Please keep them coming. I will find out as soon as possible the actual numbers we have received, but I know we certainly need more. The goal is to collect enough so we won't have to ask again for several years.

Listen, there is no certain number to donate. Everything is appreciated---$5 or $500....we are truly thankful!
