    yes

The no-hitters for Amanda Davenport at West Johnston is now up to about 5 or 6? She piched another one last night vs. Knightdale.

Tues. night WJ at Clayton 7:00 pm should again be a dandy. Davenport vs. Sarah Jackson, who is now well over 1000 K's for her 4 yr career. If WJ wins they take the #1 seed outright. If Clayton wins, it's co-champs. This conference always come down to WJ & Clayton.

Other east pitchers, there's 3A Lauren Taylor at Harnett Central....tall lefty headed to NCSU next year. I think she has also has about 5 or 6 no-no's.
Also a great basketball player averaging 25 ppg, but she said in a TV feature this week that she has hung up her sneakers for college & will concentrate on fastpitch only.

Cleveland and Clayton communities should be proud and watch out for that Riverwood crowd!

Also mentioning pitcher Ally Burr at Wake Forest Rolesville. This team has only lost a game or 2?? not sure.

Seems she's also headed to the Wolfpack.

here's about Wayne Co. 3A teams

    CB Aycock and S. Wayne:

A pair of 4th-inning errors by visiting Southern Wayne afforded CBA its offensive punch, and the determined arm of senior Julia Lancaster supplied the defensive backbone as Aycock prevailed, 1-0, in the Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference Tournament championship game.

Regular-season champion Aycock, tourney winners each of the last two years, bolted to 20-5 on the season. The Lady Falcons will welcome an as-yet-undetermined opponent next Tuesday in the opening round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association state playoffs as the ECC's No. 1 seed.

Southern Wayne, the ECC's regular-season runner-up, dropped to 21-4 and will enter the NCHSAA tournament as the No. 2 seed from the ECC. Three of the Lady Saints' four loses have been to CBA, all by one run.

Lauren Darden is a sophomore pitcher for S. Wayne.
