    Who does everyone think will be getting drafted ??

    With so many of the high school prospect committed on scholarships, the number of HS draftees will be down this season.

    There will be a couple guys taken in rounds 2-10, but most will go the 2nd day as DFE. Some of the better talent is probably untouchable because they aren't projected to go high enough to make it worth foregoing a known scholarship. There may not be a single NC HS player taken before the 6th round.

    Top-10 rounder possibilities:
    Mitch Adkins
    Josh Horton (may be considered un-signable and skipped)
    Travis High
    Chad Flack (may be considered un-signable and skipped)
    Brett Bartles (may be considered un-signable and skipped)

    Most of the North Carolina draftees will be coming from the college ranks this year. The team that you can usually count to chase after the HS talent nationwide is the Braves and they don't have a pick until the end of round #2.

    East Carolina is going to get cleaned out by the draft.

    We heard that Josh Horton could very well be drafted and might not ever step foot on Carolina soil. :huh: Just have to wait and see

    Travis Moore: Isn't he at Newberry College (1B out of Riverside HS, SC)?

    You mean Travis Moore from up in Greensboro ...

    He's a speedster with gap-to-gap power that's for sure. Don't know if his size will hurt him in the draft.

    Jared Sutton from Lenoir CC is one I am keepin my eye on...

    Also hopin' that my boy Jon Willard gets a call. He played at Chipola this past season and hit 14HR's and was Chipola's only player on the all-conference team down there.

    That would not be surprising (Josh Horton)....signability is the most important element to determine where a kid will be drafted

    Nope...not according to the scouts. They love everything about him and believe he will fill out.

    You won't believe this, but I saw Jon Willard play at Pensacola JC on a business trip this spring! I just didn't have a roster so I didn't know he was from NC. Can't believe I only cought two games and saw Willard and Pittman, both! I'm gonna have to get to more games in my travels next spring (other than to Greensboro)!

    what about chris ingle from weslyan? or Adam deleo from Hoggord?
