Chad is one of my all time favorites. It is better for him to sign a FA contract. I'm one that believes Chad can have a strong pro career.

    No Kyle Shelton

How did they overlook a guy hitting .330 for the #1 team in the country that can play 5 positions?

Because they didn't see him play the infield on a regular basis. Simply the Best!

He gets overlooked because there is so much tallent on the UNC team but he is a stud. He has proven himself in the wood bat league each year which is supposed to project how you will perform in MLB. I see that he lit it up today going 3 for 4 with a HR and 2 rbi. I think the Mets will see that they got a steal with the 7th outfielder they picked in this draft. He is as strong as an ox. He battled a hamstring injury for 2 years but played on. It hurt his stats but shows how tough he is. I have seen him change his swing and his plate approach at UNC. I think the changes he made will pay off in games to come. I hope he will do well. He will be in my family's prayers too as he starts his next chapter in life. We are proud of him.

I think he and Chad Flack will both have good careers.

    10th Round

How about D.J. Mitchell, RHP, Clemson University and former North Forsyth Player, drafted by the yankees. Led the ACC in strikeouts and proved last summer in the Cape Cod League that he can pitch to hitters using wooden bats.

What was he an 11th rounder? Wow! is he not better than that. This guys got potential to be a monster. Who knows. I would have taken a chance on him a lot earlier. I'm not a scout though.

Oh yeah, I know a couple of other kids I would have taken too.
