Riverside Vs Person

This should be an outstanding game. We have played Person twice this season and they have taken both. Person as always is very well coached. They have very good speed at the top of the order. They are very good at the plate 1-9. They will also have a stud on the hill in J. Moore a RHP that just carved us up at our place. This guy can flat out pitch. Folks this is a very good baseball team. Riverside is off to a great start and they are a veteran team that is tearing it up right now. I am very familiar with both teams. I look for this to be a very close game. I think Riverside has a slight edge offensively. I think they are about equal on the defensive side. So I have to go with the pitching in this one and that goes to Person with Moore and Byrd if needed. We will see. By the way Coach 27 is my new screen name formerly (Coach May).

 

I'm looking forward to the rematch between Person and Riverside in a couple weeks. Coach Smith said the conditions at Person were like playing at old Candlestick Park - real windy from start to stop.

I know Riverside were relieved to get to Moore after he shut them down last year in the playoffs. Duncan pitched a strong game and the Pirates finally locked down on defense, which will have to improve from the games I've seen this year.

Big game against Jordan this Friday at Riverside. I don't think I can make that one either. Anyone here going to be there?

Congrats to the Pirates on a big win over a very good team. I look for both of these teams to have very good seasons. The game between Jordan and Riverside should be a good one.

Randleman comes to Riverside on Saturday April 1 at 2 PM for a strong non-conference matchup. Riverside begins a stretch of 4 games in 7 days on Saturday.

Riverside enters 7-0 (3-0) and Randleman enters 8-2 (2-1). Should be a good game.

I just found out that the Riverside - Randleman game is going to played at the Durham Bulls ballpark (not at Riverside as scheduled) at 2:00 on Saturday.
