    Bits reported from ERA Elite game:
    "For Team ERA Nate Pope Started the game pitching two scoreless innings with 5 strike outs. Nate was replaced after two to save him for later in the tournament. Nate has a zero era over 23 inniings pitched thus far this summer for the 18U ERA elite program.

    Matt Kurelja Went 1-3 with a monster solo home run Lining out the other two at bats.

    Final score was 2-2. team Era left 5 runners on base in the first two innings proving to be very costly."

    Additional info: Nate Pope's fastball sits in the 84-86mph range but he is 6'2" 175 which means he has alot of projectability. Matt Kurelja's homerun brings his total to 5 for the summer and is batting .510 in 53 at bats with 11 Doubles 2 Triples and 21 RBIs. Matt is a 6'4" first baseman who also plays a great defense.

    8 am sitting in the CNU pressbox watching GBC Orange vs All Star Baseball of Pennsylvania

    In the second inning GBC scores 3 getting rbi hits from Cory Williams-Dudley HS and Nick Monroe-Eastern Allamance HS GBC 3 Allstar 0............Allstar answers in the 3rd inning an rbi groundout by Shea Rosadino-Conestoga HS and a run scoring single by Ian Davis-Episcopal HS. GBC 3 Allstar 2...GBC pulls of the old double steal pickle play and plates a run......GBC gives the run back on an error trying to nail Derek Prucnal-West Chester East HS stealing 3rd......GBC 4 Allstar 3.....a Casey Jones-Elon commit rbi double and a wild pitch makes the score 6-3 after 4 complete GBC leading. Going to the top of the 7th Allstar down 6-3. Allstar Baseball rallies on a HBP to Derek Pruncal and a double from Zachary Norton-WC Henderson HS as a run scores but Norton gets stranded at 2nd base as the game ends on a web gem diving catch by GBC centerfielder Joe Turkson-Campbell commit.     10:30 game at CNU pits the Allstar Baseball of PA vs Baltimore Waves
    Much like the first game Allstar scores their first run of the game on a ball thrown away as Derek Pruncal was stealing 3rd base after 2 innings complete Allstar leads 1-0. End of 4 still a 1-0 good ball game. Starting pitcher Mark Geib-Bishop Shanahan HS tossed the 4 innngs for Allstar now in relief Derek Pruncal. The Waves crash thru as Colin Cox-Severna Park HS and Jason Boyd-Mt Saint Joseph HS each single and then on an attempted pick-off at third base and the throw is wild scoring the Waves first run and then trailing runner was putout trying to reach third on the wild throw. Game tied 1-1. Allstar immediately answer getting a double from Matthew Catania-Kennett HS and an rbi single by Shea Rosadino, at the end of 5 complete Allstar retakes the lead 2-1. In the bottom of the 6th Allstar tacks on 4 insurance runs via a 2 run double by Troy Sarpen-Downington East HS and rbi singles by Taylor Wright-Episcopal HS and Shea Rosadino. Andrew Russo-West Chester East HS had a double in the inning. Score now 6-1 Allstar going to the 7th. Baltimore scores a run on a Colin Cox rbi single. Final Score: Allstar 6 Waves 2

    In the top of the 2nd inning GBC Orange has runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out but Blue Ridge pitcher Stephen Klier-Liberty HS strikes out the next two batters to end the threat. Blue Ridge scores a run as Taylor Fennewald-Riverbend HS and Nathaniel Traugh-Riverbend HS both single and on a rbi groundout by Evan Houde Blue Ridge takes a 1-0 lead. GBC comes right back and gets an rbi single from Sawyer Highfill-Grimsley HS that plated Casey Jones to tie the game at 1-1. In the top of the 5th GBC scores 8 runs with the following guys all knocking singles Nick Monroe-rbi, Casey Jones, Tiger Miller-Southeast Guilford HS, Sawyer Highfill-2 rbi, Joe Turkson-rbi, Jonathan Bethea-Vandalia Christian HS-rbi, Cory Williamson-rbi.....GBC 9 Blue Ridge 1

Pirates manufacture a run in the top of the 7th as Brandon Doggett-Western Branch HS walked, David Berman-First Colonial HS laid down a sac bunt and after a wild pitch moved Doggett to 3rd base Trent Ehret-Atlantic Shores Christian HS brought him home with a suicide squeeze bunt. Billy Nixon-Southampton HS, Luke Brunot-Greenbrier Christian HS and Grayson Crouse-Frank W Cox HS combined on the 2 hit shutout. Final Score: Pirates 1 Waves 0

    Diamond Bits from the TC Twins games: 1 hit a piece for Collin Karafa, Justin Snead and Conor Donovan a double. 2nd game: Colling Karafa stayed hot with 2 hits including a double and 2 rbi's, Tyler Dietrich got the win pitching a complete game allotwing 5 hits with 4 k's. He also had a hit and an rbi helping his own cause in the win.

    A GREAT DAY FINISHING OUT THE POOL PLAY. CONGRATS TO THE FOLLOWING POOL WINNERS:

Alejandro Diaz drives in a run with a single to extend the lead in the 5th. We go to the bottom of the 6th final half inning on time limit and Chop is down 6-2.     Semi-final game: (Steve on the Stick) TJ Pipik on the bump for Beltway. Full Count gets on the board with a two run bomb by Brandon Downes an first team All-State player. Beltway gets back a run on an rbi single by Evan Griffin that drove in Raul Shah who singled to lead off the inning. Full Count adds an unearned run on a botched run down they now lead 3-1. Raiders score a run on a single by Max Kra and a double by Tommy Mee-rbi. The heavy weight bout is on folks. Full Count's "punch" in the 3rd is a double by Brandon Downes and an rbi single by Nick Dini. Full Count leads 4-2. Finally a half inning with no runs, 3 innings now in the books. Web gem by second baseman Evan Griffin ends the top half of the 4th Raiders don't score. A bases loaded ground out by Matthew Wagner and a bases loaded walk to Malcolm Kelsey plates 2 runs for Full Count giving them a 6-2 lead. Was that the knockout blow? YES it was as Raiders score 1 in the 7th inning as Max Kra had his third hit of the game and Tommy Mee had the rbi but they fall short.
