Agree a lot can happen in that amount of time. Guess it puts more meaning on signing LOI.

I haven't heard any others, but I'm just starting to get in the loop with players, parents and coaches.

There are two players that won't surprise me that they will commit early. They are extremely talented:

    - Brett Austin catcher Providence HS; Big kid, great power, strong arm

    - Adam Griffin P/Position player West Forsyth Absolutely can bring heat as a pitcher, but has a matching stick. One of the best hitters in the state. I've noticed Coach Pope smiling more lately.

I really like these two players and expect to hear something soon on them.

I have to admit the 2011 commits really surprises me. Not their talent. I've seen carter throw 3 times and he is good. I just didn't realize that good. Goes to show how little I know.

I would have no shot being a coach. No way I could look at a player that has played 1 year of high school baseball and recognize the talent. Hat's off to the coaches. That's a tough job. Serious comment. Tough job.

    I think

you may see more of this verbal stuff. With small rosters coaches will start seeking an advantage over anothrer school. Schools in a sense locking players to a verbal to keep the others away. Then you may see the old rug pulled as players sign and that unknown at this time player sterp up. Not saying this is the case. But, until it is writing it is what it is. WORDS! :two-cents:
