East Burke vs. North Meck

Anybody know anything about North Meck?

 

It's north of Charlotte.....sorry



Lots of athletes and plenty of speed.

 

From what I hear they are strong up front, with a couple of real good recievers. Average D (for a charlotte team) Fast and hard hitting, not sure about size.

 

they finished 4th in the meca 7 4a conference which contains hopewell and west charlotte which was 10-0.
-i checked nc preps and didnt see any big names or threats but soesnt mean they dont have any.
-i dont think they will pose a big problem for the aggressiveness of east burke. they will be athletic as all charlotte city schools are. just play the physical game you guys play and id say youd see scotland in the second round. if it helps your confidence the observer picked you guys friday night. good luck

 

They're not as strong this year as they usually are. I saw them play West Charlotte and they were outmatched in pretty much every aspect of the game.

 

I think that East Burke can play with anybody if they'll use the talent they have. Against Freedom they threw one pass to Boughman which resulted in a TD. The pass was there all night long. Freedom used man coverage and was considerably shorter that Boughman. The running game is there and if they pass more it will open up the running game even more.

 

I agree with you use all of what you have. EB could be much better with a better mix on offence because the talent is there. Biggs has that old smash mouth style and while that can beat alot of teams it historically has not been enough in the playoffs when you face teams with more modern offencive styles, and maybe it is that he just lives and dies with the run. I am not coming down on Biggs I would just like to see EB's full potential. The passing yards are not that bad on very limited use. One bit of advice is stop the helmet throwing thing by the players; respect that silver helmet and its tradition!!!

 

In looking at the bracket it is very possible that you could see us in the third round facing Indy. at home how cool would that be. We would have to win our first two which would be at home and if Indy beets Butler this time it would be EB vs Indy in Icard. This is a very possible scenerio.

 

In the days when D. Wiiliams was head coach you had better protect that helmet. Playoffs are the time to pull out all the guns. I'm sure that Coach Biggerstaff will play a bigger part in calling offensive plays from here on out.

 

I was beginning to think nobody wanted to talk about this game..... I thought about renting a plane for friday night.
