The 2006 ECPSB just concluded. Madison Bumgarder pitched 3 solid no hit innings with a fastball topping off at 95. David Mailman had 2 triples and hit close to 500 for the week. Greg Holt, Garrison Lassiter, Quincy Lattimore and Justin Poovey all players from Andy Partin's Dirtbags all played for the Cleveland Indians and went 3 and 1. Tied for first

    AC Reynolds SS

John Hinson hit .500 going 6-12 with a triple, 4 RBI's and scored 4 runs. He played 2B and on one occasion he played 3rd. Hinson was rated as a B1 draftee. I believe Madison Bumgardner was rated as A1 which means he'll be drafted very early next year. Justin Poovey maxed out at 95 and was very impressive also. This was a great experience for all the guys. The NW4A Conference was represented very well as was the Dirtbags.

a word about East Coast Pro...

The ECP showcase for the last 8 years has established itself as one of the best showcase events for invited prospects in baseball to attend. It started 8 years ago at UNCW and this year was the final year it would be held there. New NCAA regulations which involves holding it at a college facility has caused it to have to relocate. Starting in 2007, ECP will be held in Lakeland Fl.
Now if you think it is hot in Wilmington around Aug.1 just go to central Florida that time of year! IMHO attending this event is well worth enduring the heat to be part of that great experience!
