Does anyone know how to access information from the current event? Are there any local players in this years event?

The East Coast Pro is a professional combine event. There are about 140 players from around the country (mainly the east coast, the west coast has their own event).

Since the event is run by the MLB scouting bureau, there isn't a web site. Baseball America will have a write-up on the events at ECP later on this month and Perfect Game has representatives there watching also. Perfect Game will normally put out a blurb on the top prospects that they see.

Unless one of our "webster's" is attending the event, we won't get much on the front end.

The NC players are: Josh Dowdy(RHP), Drew Taylor(LHP), Adam Warren(RHP), Greg Miclat(Spelling)(INF), David Seppelt(OF), Kyle Musselman(RHP)...not playing b/c legion playoffs, Conaway(RHP) not here b/c of illness. I think thats about it. I might have missed one.The NC players are on the Cubs team. They lost to Tampa bay yesterday 6-1. Adam Warren went 2 innings allowing 3H, 3er, 3BB, 2K's. Drew Taylor goes today against the Marlins out of South Florida. Josh Dowdy goes Friday.

The Cubs defeated the Marlins 5-3 tonite. All games were shortened to 7 innings b/c of rain this AM. Drew taylor (LHP-Wake Forest Rolesville) threw well in his 2 innings of work. 2 in, 1h, 1r, 5k, 0bb. Was 87-89 with 76 mph slurve, 77-78 change piece. David Seppelt(spelling) Singled in the 1st. Stole 2nd, and scored the Cubs 1st run. Greg Miclat(spelling???) made the best defensive play of the day with diving stop in the hole b/w 1st and 2nd on a high bouncer. Lots of Gasp in the crowd after that play!!!!!!!! Justin Upton played centerfield..........struggled at the plate(0-3): but boy can he play Centerfield. Amazing to watch a 6.33 60 runner go after a ball. Josh Dowdy(RHP) of Wakefield high School pitches for the Cubs tomorrow at Noon.

I agree....Dowdy did very well. I wish his team would have brought the lumber. They were NO-hit by the Twins. Matter of fact there were back to back no hitters Friday. The devil Rays No-hit the Marlins after the Cubs game. I really though the NC boys showed well....Dowdy and Taylor on the mound, and Seppelt and Miclat in the field. To bad Conaway was sick and Musselman was still in Legion.........Speaking of which: Why would legion have a problem with a kid showing his stuff for a showcase sponsored by MLB???? This isn't just your ordinary weekend showcase!!
