Both teams, obviously unbeaten, will square off on Friday. East Rowan, highly touted and the early season overwhelming favorite in the NPC, will face a Carson team that has destroyed everything in its path so far this season. Carson returned 12 players off a 15-10 team last year and has scored 63 runs in 5 games so far.

Played at 7:00 at East Rowan. Rain started as the game was ending. East 8, Carson 1.

East is very, very good this year and I think this team is a special team. Carson has been murdering the ball (63 runs in 5 games) and East held them to 1 run without throwing their two best pitchers.

East is stacked this year! Exactly who are their two best pitchers? From the looks of it all of their pitchers weigh in pretty equally and get the job done! There is something about this team that shows they are in it to win it...they love the game!

I would say Preston Troutman is the best I've seen based on velocity, secondary pitches, experience and athletism. The irony is that he is very valuable in the field and can make the other pitchers even better by playing a very clean shortstop. I think the #2 is very close between Thomas Allen and Parker Gobble. Gobble has more experience, but Allen has come a long way. Robbins and Johnson have a ton of potential, but lack in the experience category. All 5 are tremendous and each would be an ace on a lot of staffs.
