    a leadoff walk, a double, and then two sac flies for east rowan make the score...

    rocky mount 6

    goodwin leads off the top of the 4th with a blast off the 400 ft sign in centerfield.

    east rowan making a pitching change, trey holmes coming in.

    nobody out, goodwin on 3rd with a triple

    double scores goodwin to make it 7-3.

    after a fielders choice right now its 2 outs with 1st and 3rd for rocky mount.

    oh boy. holmes gets a strikeout but the 3rd strike gets away from the catcher. run from 3rd scores, runner on 1st goes all the way to 3rd, batter goes all the way to 2nd. would have been the 3rd out.

    now, with 2 outs, its

    east rowan 3

    men on 2nd and 3rd

    Strikeout, big out to keep rocky mount from completely blowing it opened

    No damage for rocky mount in the top of the 5th

    goodwin makes a fantastic diving catch for out #1

    the right fielder catches one on the warning track in front of the 365 sign for out #2

    a micah jarrett single gives ER a man on 1st with 2 outs. consecutive passed balls move micah to 3rd.

    holmes flies out to goodwin in center, moving the game to the 6th inning, still 8-3

    rocky mount goes quietly 3 up 3 down in the top of the 6th.

    the gryphons need just 6 more outs to wrap up the state championship.

    leadoff walk to corbin shive and rocky mount will make a pitching change

    nick hahula (sp?) will be the new pitcher

    the freshman pitcher moss gave up 9 hits, walked 3, and only struck out 1 but he pitched well with runners on base and gutted out a great performance for a youngster

    barry and leggett (game 1 and game 2 starters) both up in the pen for rocky mount
