East Rowan vs. Rocky Mount Game 3

    on the first pitch thrown by the new pitcher, noah holmes doubles down the line, scoring shive and making the score 8-4 with a man on 2nd and nobody out here in the bottom of the 6th

    next batter flies out to goodwin in center for the first out

    a double by shull sets up 2nd and 3rd (runner on 2nd had to see if the ball got down in the outfield), with 1 out for #9 hitter decelle. justin roland on deck.

    decelle is walked on 4 pitches, to load the bases. justin roland coming up, representing the tying run. roland has a triple and a double in the game already.

    infield single by roland makes it 8-5, bases still loaded, still 1 out. tying run on base and go ahead run at the plate for east.

    ground ball to 3rd baseman, 3rd baseman tags 3rd for out #2. runner on 3rd base scores, meanwhile the 3rd baseman throws across the diamond to try for a double play and throws it away. runner on 1st advances to 3rd and batter advances to 2nd on the error. east rowan with 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, 8-6 score

    micah jarrett is intentionally walked to load the bases for trey holmes

    ball bounces away from the catcher, and the east rowan runner on 3rd tries to score. out is made at the plate to end the rally. wow

    after 6 complete,

    rocky mount is retired in the top of the 7th.

    heading to the bottom of the 7th, rocky mount holds their 8-6 lead.

    it will be trey holmes, corbin shive, and noah holmes due up for the mustangs.
