East Rowan vs. Rocky Mount Game 3

It is great to see the passion the fans at ER and RM have for their teams. personal attacks on players, however, are not needed. wE all sit here and say what if this call or that call was different. We being fans. While we rip other players, teams, and umps, the players play the game. I know there were several controversial calls during the series. That tends to happen when 2 very talented teams play. I am willing to bet, however, that the players from ER and RM are not what iffing on the calls. That is why they are quality players. We have played against ER in fall and conference for several years. I know that the dedicated group of players like ER has, with the quality of coaching that they have, are not looking at calls they cannot control. They are looking at what they can control, their own play. They are asking themselves what could I have done better or differently to change the outcome. That is why truely great players have the ability to lead teams to championships. Think about what you can control and control it. Do not let what you cannot control effect you. Sour grapes and what ifs are for fans, results are for players. congrats to RM and ER as well as all the high school players in NC. It is fun as a fan to watch the quality of baseball improve, and leadership grow in all the fine young players in our great state.

Q, you know why Goodwin is overrated. He was hitting rockets to all fields and making great catches while roaming centerfield. He only batted .375 with a triple, double, 4 IBB, while slugging .750 and having a .583 on base percentage. These are completely overrated stats especially for a State Championship series!!

By the way I want to give props to Justin Roland of ER who was an absolute stud and played great all weekend!!

 

The kid is so overrated that uncch offered as did everyone else on the east coast. He is so overrated he may well be a rich kid next june.

Goodwin overrated, heck if anything he is underrated.

 

Goodwin needs no defending. Anybody with any baseball IQ recognize him as being a very special athlete; not one that comes around very often. That comment was so degrading that it was almost comical.
