Man my nails have been gone since those two run-ins SC had with East Burke!! Dang, they sure do play SC tough. I think SC and Madison will be up and ready to play top notch ball against a top notch ER team. Good luck to both teams.

    Hello!!!!!

I dont want to say I told you so , BUT I told you so. ER wins with a stud on the hill in Ryan Leach. Guys, in a one game situation you just not count out a team that has these kind of arms and the posistion players they have. Plus they have players that face 90's all summer and fall long in WWBA events etc. SC is outstanding and if they can make it to 2-3 series I love their chances of getting a ring. But there are going to be some games that they are going to have to eek out to get there. There are some teams in the 4-A West ranks that are very good. Dont get caught up in the hype of any team regardless of how good they are and SC is very very good. Anyone can get beat by a Ryan Leach with some very good players around him.

East Rutherford actually played their 4th game in a row tonight against a 4A team. They have played 17 games this year, only 5 against 2A or 1A competition. The other 12 are against 3A and 4A. Coach Reynolds believes in playing as tough a schedule as possible and seeing the best pitching you can to get ready for the playoffs.

    Reynolds...

He is a very good coach and I like the way he keeps control of the games with certain tactics. Our legion program (post 29) have handed them a few losses and they have so kindly returned the favor a few times as well. (Good Rivalry). Any player should be proud to play under coach Reynolds.

Seems the power in the state lies in the 2A ranks this year. The North Davidson game was a fluke for this team.

    No fluke IMO

I dont think it was a fluke just a very good pitching performance by a very good crafty LHP. I dont care how good a team is you can look great one day and not so great the next. ER showed why they are the front runners in the 2-A ranks. SC will be there come playoff time and if they get to the 2-3 series they are going to take it I feel. But there are some very strong teams in the West that can give them all they want. I do believe that this is the year the West wins it in the 4-A ranks and a 2-A battle 2-3 between ER and North Lenoir would be alot of fun to see. Both teams are outstanding.

Without a healthy Justin Poovey, SC is by no means a lock in a 3 game series.
ER, on the other hand has 4 high quality pitchers in Leach, Smith,Park and Melton who will be fresher than Bumgarner and Messer when the playoffs start.
The other thing you need to look at was MB got 75% of SC's hits.
It's hard to score runs that way.
ER, on the other hand has several guys who can hit good pitching, including Michael Melton who did not play against SC.
I'd take ER in a 3 game series against SC every time.

    ?

I was not comparing the two teams in a three game series since one is 4-A and the other is 2-A. I was aware that Poovey had been hurt but isnt he back now? Who knows who would win between them in a 2-3 series but it really doesnt matter since its not going to happen. ER had a great win but it doesnt mean that the season is over. They still are going to have to beat some good teams to win it. And SC had a tough loss to a very good team but that doesnt mean in anyway the season is over for them. They still have two of the best pitchers in the state and another if he is healthy. I like both of these teams and who wouldnt. They each are the favorites in their respective classifications. Good luck to both of them they have some great kids and they are very talented.

3 game series (even though it doesnt matter) i take south... you can catch them off guard and soft with the bats once... but its proven that all except about 3 games this year they have been head on hitting wise... so i expect they would hit the ball very good in 2 out of 3 games... and yes bumgarner did get a walk off hit off him but the same could have happend just as easily to the other pitcher... and isnt poovey back... i heard he could throw without causing anymore damage it would just be a little painful... but yeah def sc in a three game series... the fact they are 3 in the nation isnt a fluke... i mean even the bulls when they had jordan lost every once in a while...
