    Actually old news - just ncaa officially handing down what had been know for some time. It is very unfortunate that two very good kids and excellent baseball players lost 2 years of eligibility over one bad decision.

    A sad day for ECU

    We all knew this was coming but it still makes for a sad day for my alma mater.

    I tip my hat to the way Coach Godwin and the entire school handled this situation and hopefully the actions of a few otherwise fine youg men, will be a lesson learned by others.

    Yes it appears that Coach G. is in the clear.

    For these types of situations (they seem to be often around the college sports scene) how much can a head coach really be expected to know about the off-field activities of his players, whether it be academic, personal, crime, drugs, alcohol, sexual, etc.?
